Once Upon a Time..

Back in 1995 or 1996, I met 2 sisters on a train on the way from Madras to Calcutta. We spent the long, 2 day journey playing 'uno' and climbing the bunk beds in our little A/C 2-tier cabin. The elder girl was named Tatum H, and the younger one Tinsel.
Given that it's 2007 and I STILL remember the names of a chance encounter like this, I think it's really more of a curse than a gift to remember such random incidences. I'm reminded all too often of how lonely memories can be, this being one of the many many examples. I found Tatum on Facebook- or at least, I guess it's her. I didn't really expect the name to show up. She'd probably think I'm a freak if I randomly messaged her saying "hey, we met over 10 years ago on a train...are you the same person?"

It's time to make new memories.
